Aspinwall Borough officially welcomed its newly elected Council members during a swearing-in ceremony held at the Borough Building on Monday, January 5th. Newly elected Mayor Scott Zimmermann was sworn in by Judge Matthew Rudzki and then administered the oath of office to Council members Jeff Harris, Andrew Corey-O'Connor, Patti McCaffrey, and Lara Voytko. Tax Collector Dawn Eastley was also sworn in during the ceremony. The event marked the start of a new term of service and reflected the Borough's continued commitment to strong local leadership and civic engagement. Following the swearing-in, Council members took their seats and began the work ahead, which includes overseeing the Borough's budget, guiding capital projects, supporting public safety, and advancing initiatives that strengthen neighborhoods and enhance quality of life. Residents are encouraged to attend Council meetings and stay engaged as the new Council begins its term. Council meetings are held on the first two Wednesdays of each month at 7 p.m. in the Borough Building Council Chambers and are open to the public. Meeting dates and agendas can be found on the Borough's website and social media platforms. In addition, there are currently vacancies on several Borough commissions and committees.
